REVIEW | L'Oreal Elvive Smooth & Polish

Let's first ignore the hideous packaging. I know that people like pink, I'm not it's biggest fan but really? Packaging should be subtle and not look out of place in your bathroom but this is just horrid. Anyway, I'll stop being fussy and get on with the details of the actual product inside.

I have never really been all that intrigued by L'Oreal as a brand to be honest, it doesn't really pull me in. This shampoo was on offer for something around th £2 mark and for that price I thought I could overlook it's pink flaws. I'm definitely glad that I did, it's really nice and lightweight whilst still having a good impact on the softness and shine of my hair. I have very thick and unruly hair, it can carry quite a lot of product and so I never really have to make that much effort with it meaning that usually I don't look for details on packaging - hence why I ended up buying a product for fine to normal hair. I'm quite surprised it's branded for fine to normal hair though because it has really made a difference to the texture of my hair. One thing that I have noticed with this shampoo is that by the time I get to the end of day two after washing I'm actually due a wash rather than just doing it out of habit, which is strange considering this product is for finer hair types. I don't really care about that though, I wash my hair every 1-2 days without fail whatever the shampoo.

Overall, I'm glad I tried this and probably will buy it again, particularly if it's on offer for £2! Well worth the money.

  1. I love the L'Oreal Elvive shampoo's, and I kinda like the gordy packaging hehe! My favourite range is the black and pink packaging, I'm not sure what it's called (helpful) but it makes my hair feel amazing! xx

    1. I haven't tried the conditioner, I don't use conditioners but I don't leave shampoo on for that long, I just lather and rinse and it had good results for me. Maybe try cleaning the shampoo out after you're done with lathering it up like I have? Hope it works out for you!
