I cannot lie, I broke my spending ban. BUT. I'm extending it a week into August as a self enforced punishment - it was so worth it to finally get to try the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in Pink Pong. I, similarly to many of you I'd imagine, love reading Viviannadoesmakeup and when she mentioned this lip colour I turned into a spoiled infant "I. WANT. IT. NOW."

This lip colour is the perfect match for this heat wave we're experiencing here in Britain. The colour is so vibrant, to be honest it's probably the only one in the collection that I was blown away by, though the orange-red is obviously beautiful. I love how much of a stark contrast it is to my skin colouring and for some reason it brings out the brassy colour in my hair, which I'm really liking! I paired this lip with my regular base. I did use the NYX Mineral Stick Foundation in Cool Tan to contour rather than bronzer which is a little different,I love how natural it looks.

For my eyes I used theBalm Meet Matt Nude palette. What's new?! I have Matt Abdul over the lid and through the crease, a little of Matt Hung in the crease to deepen the contour and then Matt Malloy in my inner corner and as my highlight. I love those shadows together! Purpley-Taupe goodness. For eyeliner I used the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Khaki - how do I love thee? Let me count the ways. It's a stunning olive brown, it stays all day and I just adore it!
