***Been super busy, and will be until mid December so I'm sorry for the lack of posts. Hopefully I can get back on track soon though!
After watching an incredible make up tutorial by Tanya Burr which included Clinique Even Better foundation, I got straight to my local Clinique counter and got a few samples. Though I've never bought a full size foundation from the brand, I have used a couple of their foundation through samples: the Anti-Blemish, the Even Better and the Super Moisture formulas to be specific. This is gonna be a quick review/ my opinion for these foundations.
To be perfectly honest, I didn't like the consistency of this whatsoever, it was so thick and gloopy, like i'd left it in the sun for ages. The coverage was decent but it oxidised on my dry-combination skin after a few hours and what had seemed to match at 9am was orange and disgusting by 12. Definitely won't be purchasing this!
Clinique Super Moisture
Again, incredibly thick. That's not my cup of tea but some people may be more willing to have to spend a while really buffing their foundation in. The colour didn't oxidise of my skin which is always good and though it lasted a surprisingly long time without moving or fading this foundation did cling to and emphasise my dry skin. Something I thought was quite ironic as it is targetted for people with very dry skin. Again, this isn't one I'd pay money for.
Clinique Even Better
This foundation is gorgeous. It gives a natural dewy finish whilst still providing a medium coverage. I will definitely be purchasing this when my current foundation runs out. The consistency is smooth and simple, easy to work with and doesn't dry the skin out. This is definitely worth the hype! Makes up for the poor performance of the previous two samples i'd gotten from Clinique!
What's your take on Clinique?
