REVIEW | Lipcote Lipstick Sealer.

I got this product in the July Glossybox and although I liked the idea, I smelt it and was petrified. But I have tried it out since my first impression and I thought i'd give you guys a heads up.

This product claims to prevent your lip colour from moving, bleeding or fading. You apply a coat of the product over your lipstick and wait for it to dry and then you're done. I did that today and plainly put it didn't work. When I applied the product it made my lips sting, which is a bizarre feeling and was a little painful, kind of like when you up a lip plumper, having said that, I thought that if it worked I could get over a five second pain. It stinks too, this is what put me off initially, it smells so chemical that I feel like its goes to damage my lips, they do feel quite dry, but that may just be the matte lipstick I've worn today. So, yeah, overall I really dislike this product. In the bin it goes, and it's so sad because the concept is brilliant! I may have to look into a lip primer instead.

  2. Sorry it didn't work out! I apreciate the honest review, though- sometimes it's just as helpful to hear about the not so good products as it is to hear raves about the great ones. Good luck on your quest for a great lip primer! :)
