Zoya Godiva, Essie Instant White Hot, Barry M Lychee, Nails Inc Porchester Square, Essie Urban Jungle.
When the colder months come around I do tend to switch up my nails from pastels to deeper shades and I find myself wearing nudes more often (If that's even possible.) No matter the season nude nails are a godsend because they make your hands look healthier, somehow manage to accentuate long nails but don't make short nails look gross and they are also easier to get away with when they are chipping. What more could you want? Finding great nude polishes can be difficult because it does really only work when you find a colour that is a pretty solid match for you or is a complete contrast. For me, these five polishes are the best I have found. My most recent purchase and my favourite of the moment is Essie Urban Jungle, it's a gorgeous cool, light nude with a long lasting formula. You do need a few coats but it's definitely worth the extra effort. For a quicker fix of a nude I love Nails Inc Gel Effect Polish In Porchester Square. The formula is thin so it dries quickly and 2 coats is more than enough. For a really high shine I opt for Barry M Gelly in Lychee, it's a warmer nude that really makes the hands look healthy and the formula lasts forever and keeps it's shine!
For the nudes that add a little more interest to the equation I would go for either Essie Instant White Hot - a very pale pink based cream with some shimmer through it- which makes the nails look false but in a good way but is a massive fuss to apply or Zoya Godiva which is a textured golden cream glitter which just looks beautiful. It's kind of androgynous in a way and for a glitter it is very subtle! I love it for when I want that little something extra without the added fuss of a coloured polish - which I'll get to next week.
Have you found your perfect nude?
