REVIEW | theBalm Mary Lou-Manizer

I have heard so much, read so much and watched so many people rave about theBalm Mary Lou Manizer, but to be honest, I never really wanted to buy it for myself. At the opening of the new Superdrug in St Davids 2 in Cardiff I noticed theBalm was now stocked. Had a little freak out and swatched everything and was ready to walk away with a new eyeshadow palette - in the end I put it back, how responsible of me. My sister was doing her own thing looking around for a good highlighter and I directed her toward this, I said that it was raved about online and that it swatched beautifully. She was sold, and since it was my birthday that weekend she said "Do you have it? No? I'll buy you one." How could I resist?

I've been playing about with it, and wearing it most days I wear a full face of make up and I am happy with it. It's very pretty, VERY pigmented -you need a light hand - and all round a quality product. I probably wouldn't buy it for myself just because the WOW factor isn't there for me. I'm still yet to come across the perfect highlighter for me. I think it's a little harder to find a really good, prominent highlighter when you're as pale as I am to be honest. I am so happy I have it in my collection, but I'm still on the quest for 'the one'.
