REVIEW | Philip Kingsley Elastcizer

I love the minimalistic packaging!

Oh, how it hurts me to use a z, but that's how he spells it so who am I to complain. In amongst attending a boring 3 hour politics seminar, running to the bank in the rain with no umbrella and dolly shoes on, and passing the time dancing to The Smiths whilst waiting for the kettle to boil, I remembered how I meant to write a review on this product yonks ago.

The Philip Kingsley Elasticizer is somewhat a cult hair product, and since I'm a sucker for blogger-hype I knew I would eventually end up trying it out. I managed to get the 75ml tube for £9.99 on sale at Feel Unique a couple of months ago and have been trying it out sporadically ever since. As much as I am a sucker for a potential cult favourite, I am also highly sceptical.

I didn't imagine this product would be as incredibly restorative as many bloggers made it out to be, but I wanted to find out for myself. Before I get into the review, I'll say, my hair is thick curly and has pretty good resistance to damage, but since I bleached it to get an ombre effect it has seen better days.

After about 6/7 uses over the last two months, I can say that I like the effect that it gives. It makes my hair feel smoother, and a little less flyaway. I like that I feel like I'm pampering a little when I use this too! As for the hype, I don't think it's amazing enough to warrant the ridiculous price tag. I'm about half way through this tube, which originally retails for £12.25, so I guess you get around 15 uses out of it. I don't like it enough to repurchase, but that's purely because I don't really care that much about my hair, it's not in the most awful condition that I need to.

Wow, this was a more lengthy post that I'd intended. Guess I'm in a writing mood!

Have you tried this? Did you love it?

  2. I haven't heard of this, but it does sound like a pretty good product! I'm fairly lazy when it comes to my hair, truthfully. As long as it looks good, that's enough for me!

    1. I'm the same, I'd much rather spend a tenner on some make up than on my hair! xo
