REVIEW | iWhite Teeth Whitening Kit

I've always been insecure about the colour of my teeth, not because they are horrendous, but rather because I know that there isn't anything I can do to alter the colour, without bleaching...which i'm not entirely comfortable with. The natural colour of my teeth is not what I would like, I want white teeth. Who doesn't? Should probably stop it with the tea then shouldn't I? Ah, well.

This teeth whitening kit came onto ASOS.com a couple of months back and I looked it up and honestly didn't find a bad review. At £25 I thought why not?

What iWhite says: "No need to clean or boil mouthpieces, mess with syringes or brushes, measure gel or use special toothpastes or rinses. They contain a new, revolutionary whitening gel which has been clinically proven to be dental safe and instantly effective. "

Basically, the kit comes with 10, pre-filled whitening teeth guards. You wear them for 20 minutes at a time, however often you like and it is supposed to provide a smile up to 8 shades whiter.
An example of the trays is pictured above. The trays aren't always filled evenly and so the product is distributed oddly.

Now that you know what they are supposed to do and intended for, I feel obliged to tell you they don't work at all. I can't imagine this is just my teeth, it didn't touch the tea staining I have. If you wear the two at the same time - as they say you can if you want - it is so uncomfortable. I only did that once, the rest of the mouthpieces I used solely on my top row of teeth. That means 9 of the 10 mouth pieces were used on my top teeth. No difference. I was so disappointed and felt like an idiot really, for spending 20 minutes a day on something that provided no results. The only good thing that I can say for this product is that the gel smelt and tasted very refreshing, but for that I could have bought a 70 pence pack of Extra chewing gums from the corner shop!

If you wanna check this product out, which I don't recommend whatsoever, you can have a look on their website here.

Comment below letting me know of any whitening treatments you might have tried, hopefully you had more luck!

  2. Hi sweetie, I've tried a couple of these and like you they've been a complete let down, the only ones I know that do actually work are the crest whitening strips x
