What ever happened to the Foo Fighters?
This is going to be a really quick LOOK post for no other reason that I couldn't be bothered to even put on foundation, I just wanted to try out a coloured wing liner after watching this Chloe Morello video. Unless this is your first stop by my little corner of the internet you will be familiar with my love for winged liner, but I haven't ever really experimented with coloured wing liner before, it's always just been brown or black. As is always necessary with red tones you need to conceal under eye discolouration really well. I didn't apply foundation this day just used some Collection Lasting Perfection concealer in the inner corner and just underneath my eyes. I filled in my brows with the Anastasia Dip Brow Pomade in Dark Brown, I still can't quite get this to work for me but God damn am I trying to! It can't be so raved about for nothing, I must just be using it wrong!
Now for the good stuff. to start the eyes I took Laura Mercier Longwear Creme Eye Pencil in Espresso and lined my tightline, I also took a little of this on my lower lash-line and smudge it out. I then used the Zoeva Wing Liner Brush (317) to traced a dramatic wing onto my eyes using the Illamasqua Liquid Metal in Resolute, a stunning red metallic shade with incredible pigmentation and impressive staying power! To set it and lighten the colour a little I went over the top with MAC Coppering, I've been loving this shade lately! To perfect the wing a little more I cleaned up the edges with some concealer. After applying my usual two coats of Collection Does It All Mascara, I was done.
Just a bit of fun and super quick and easy but I really like the way it turned out. I love playing with new looks and I love it even more when they actually look good! This is a nice way to be playful but still keep to relatively earthy tones, not to mention the fact that if you have blue eyes these tones will compliment them perfectly!
