REVIEW | Dr. Jart Premium Beauty Balm

A few weeks ago, whilst making an order on Boots.com for essentials - make up remover, dry shampoo etc. - I spotted that all of the Dr. Jart products were on offer, at half price nonetheless! When I try to only buy necessities they put on these discounts just to draw me in, I swear! I didn't even know that Boots sold Dr. Jart before that point! Anyways, I'd heard of Dr. Jart BB Creams from watching Chelsea wears on YouTube, and I've always been interested so I bought the Dr. Jart Premium Beauty Balm.

Possibly the most annoying box & bottle to photograph. Reflective hello!

One thing that did worry me was that it was a one size fits all deal, only one shade, wahh. Generally I would avoid this, but considering I know that I own products in the shade that Chelsea buys them in, I thought it would be okay. So it arrived and I tried it. It is too dark for my skin, but because it blends so seamlessly I can get away with it.

As you can see in the left it's clearly too dark for me but when its blended in it evens the skin tone out and provides a dewy finish.

What I like about this product so much is that it evens out my skin tone even though it is probably the thinnest base I have ever tried! It sets on the skin beautifully and provides a dewy finish which, even after powdering gives a lit from within quality to the skin. Especially for the winter months, this has been brilliant as it sits well on dry skin and somehow seems to disguise it like no other.

I must admit however, the normal £24.00 price tag would turn me off in an instant. That's more than I'd care to splurge on a beauty balm. Having said that, I am happy I bought it, especially for those lazy days!

  3. This looks promising! My favourite BB Cream is Missha Perfect Cover- it has a good range of shades, has excellent coverage, and lasts all day! :)
