2012 | Yearly Favourites!

This year has been a pretty good one, gone by so fast but it was one to remember! Here are a few of the highlights of my year, I've thrown in some non cosmetic favourites too, just because I love film and wanted to share some of my favourites with you! Oh, and some of these products have been mentioned on my blog before, I hope i'm not being too repetitive!

Be sure to comment and let me know anything you love and want to recommend or think I would like! Or if you like any of these yourself! An early Happy New Years as well, glam up and get a little crazy - it's what new years eve is for!

This year has been a little less extravagant concerning makeup, I think I've trailed and tested so much that i'm finally settling into what I like and what I don't! I've definitely become a comfortable palette, opting for nude colours over purples and blues - which used to be a go to as far as I was concerned! I've really loved creating a neutral contoured, matte eye lately and all year using Urban Decay Foxy on the lid and MAC's Malt through the crease. It's a very subtle definition but I Think it works, especially on Miss Snow White over here! As for the nights, Dior Forever Foundation is a beautiful base to match with a slate smokey eye! Illamasqua Liquid Metal in Surge creates the perfect base to work from and makes the colour really stick and is bang on with the metallic trend!

This has been the perfect collection of scents for me this year! And i'm sure that won't be changing all too soon! I've got more interested in collecting perfumes lately and mixing it up so perhaps I may add some but I love the fresh uplifting feeling Armani Diamonds gives for the day time and when I want to feel a little more extravagant i'll pop on Gucci Rush, it's scent is so rich and lingering, I love it! As for Victor & Rolf Flowerbomb, I reserve this for special occasions  it's such a beautiful fragrance, very unique and the bottle is gorgeous too!

Why do I love these haircare products for 2012? They're like Ronseal, they do what it says on the tin! And with hair like mine, that's necessary! The John Frieda Smooth Start has been a godsend to my damaged ombre'd hair and the two hair sprays I've mentioned hold a curl in my hair like no other! And is it just me or does John Frieda Moisture Barrier smell lovely... for a hair spray, anyway.

I've gotten far more into skincare this year, before, I wanted to cover myself with full coverage and now i'm more concerned about the underneath. The Fab Pore Facial Peel has been working beautifully at reducing my pores and it's a lovely little treat each week, especially because of the scent, it's heavenly! I've settled into a routine with my daily skincare which i'm very happy with too! My first experience with Korres has left me wanting more! The Korres Wild Rose Exfoliating Cleanser leaves my skin feeling replenished and so smooth, i'm in love. Accompanied by a good moisturiser like Nivea Soft and a nice tightening toner like the Boots Botanics Rosewater Toning Spritz, my skin is better than ever!

And Finally, here are six of my favourite films of the year. Cinema has been incredible this year! I think my favourite would have to be The Perks of Being a Wallflower, i'm a sucker for indie, teenage film!

  1. Oooh, I like the look of that Dior foundation and you can't beat John Frieda! Surprisingly I haven't read The Perks of being a Wallflower. I sort of skipped it in my teenage years, although I would like to watch it sometime.

    1. I haven't read it either, but to be honest I think that made the film more of a surprise for me and that was part of the reason I loved it so much! It isn't exactly what I expected! xo

    1. I would whole heartedly recommend them! Mind, the Korres cleanser may be a little harsh for some skin so i'd be careful of that if you do want to check it out. Smells incredible though aha! xo
