October Favourites!

A lengthy post has been a long time come and I apologise for that, I won't make excuses but things got in the way. So, this is slightly late, but it's here! Let's get into it, shall we?

Cosmetics!
Honestly I've not really been trying out new cosmetics all that much in the past month, but I do have a few rediscovered favourite make-up items!

Illamasqua Rich Liquid Foundation in 115

I don't know whether it's always been this way or I need to buy a new tube of my Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, but it's been pulling quite yellow on my skin and oxidising really bad so I've had to switch up my concealer routine - hassle! Anyway, a few years ago I wore the Illamasqua Rich Liquid Foundation in 115 as my base but came to find that I preferred a lighter more natural coverage so traded it in for a thinner alternative, but the colour is SO pale, and perfect for covering blemishes! I've started to use this as my concealer and blending it in using the Real Techniques Domed Shadow brush, I'm really loving the technique. I choose not to use it under my eyes because it is very heavyweight but still, it's working well otherwise!

Vaseline Essential Moisture Cocoa Radiant Lotion

With the crappy, cold weather i've become a little preventative and whipped out my thicker moisturiser in the form of Vaseline Essential Moisture. I love the cocoa butter smell and it does the job so well for the price. Love this for the face and body during winter, it's been part of my winter skincare for a few years now and I can't see that changing all that soon!

YSL Elle Purfume Range

Whilst in boots the other day I noticed that one of the YSL Elle fragrances was on sale and smelt it to see whether to bother with it or not. I forgot how much I love this fragrance. It's a little sweeter than I'd usually opt for by I love the smell once it has set and how it lingers. B-E-A-Utiful!

Fashion
Layering

Scarves, beanies, jumpers, leather jackets, you name it. An essential in this kind of weather, and an essential I've really been enjoying this past week. It's so comfy and actually looks quite good at the same time I think. Going to have to invest in a few more knitwear pieces I think!

YouTube

GEMSMAQUILLAGE
I am so glad I rediscovered her channel, such a great watch and i've recently subscribed to her second channel too! Check her out if you haven't already! http://www.youtube.com/user/gemsmaquillage?feature=results_main

TV & Film

Arrested Development

My house mate has been mentioning this show to me for weeks and weeks but I always just ignored it until one hangover day I gave it a go. It's such a stupid but incredibly smart comedy and I'm so gutted that it isn't still running because I'm nearing the end of the episodes. It's so good! I love Jason Bateman and Will Arnett, not to mention Michael Cera! I don't know how it took me this long to watch it.

Especially funny, their impersonation of chickens...you'll see what I mean by how silly it is if you watch this clip...

The Dark Knight Rises

OH. MY. GOD. My new favourite film, I've literally watched it about 7 times in the past month, it's just...epic. I've never really been into Batman, but I love Christian Bale so I watched it on a whim. it's incredible and I love the Bane character. Such an amazing story, long, but worth it. You HAVE to see it!
