Holy Grail: Brushes.

When I first thought up this post I had a lot more brushes to include, but I've decided to include only the brushes that I'd be lost without. I own a medium size collection of brushes, i'd say, and I still have my eye on more.

Sigma F84

I really do love this brush, its like the Real Techniques Buffing Brush but better. It gives a flawless finish and the angled shape allows you to get into all of the corners of the eyes and everywhere.

One more thing I enjoy about this is that it is dual purpose, not only is it an amazing foundation tool (So dense!) it's brilliant for cream contouring too, well all cream products to be honest!

You can pick this brush up from www.love-makeup.co.uk for £14.99.

MAC 239

In all seriousness, I think MAC brushes are insanely overpriced. I got this as part of a mini size kit for Christmas a couple of years back and i'm glad I did because it's a phenomenal brush that I would never purchase for myself. £19.00 for a shader brush is a little insane.

Having said that it is perfect for packing on colour and evenly distributing it, it's so dense and the perfect size too! Love this brush!

Sigma E45

Perfection in a blending brush! It's tapered shape makes it easy to maneuver and get precision which is great for me because I don't have the most space to work with. I find this brush to be the perfect size for my crease and it's just all round brilliant.

Again, you can get this at www.love-makeup.co.uk for £9.99.

Real Techniques Deluxe Crease Brush

This is actually a rather new holy grail for me. I've had it for ages but only recently have I moved from using it for eyeshadow (which it is very good for still) to concealer blending. This blends to perfection and is such a good quality brush.

Only downside to this is that you cannot buy it seperately, it comes as part of the Real Techniques Starter Set (£20.99 from www.love-makeup.co.uk). Having said that, all of the brushes in the set a phenomenal so it's not all bad.

Hope you enjoyed this post! What are your favourite brushes?

  3. Nice list! I've been on a bit of a makeup brush kick lately, so I love posts like this! All the brushes you featured sound great, but the Sigma F84 seems especially lovely and versatile. I'll have to check it out!
