LOOK | Do you know you're unlike any other? You'll always be my thunder.

My resting bitch face here can be attributed to a disgusting headache I had! Sorry!

This week has been a really good one for me, I had a final stage interview for an amazing job opportunity on Monday and by Tuesday they had got back to me to let me know that I got it! As well as that, I finally have a car! YAY! No more temping! For me, makeup expresses my mood and all week I've had the unshakeable urge to wear bold lips but I was working so kept it until I finished at the weekend! Anyway, onto the makeup! We had a thunderstorm on Friday morning and I was really feeling autumnal so I decided to pair a warm eye with a red lip (Something I don't usually do because I am so pale!)

For my base I used Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation with Collection Lasting Perfection concealer. My skin is having a fit at the moment so I was definitely in need of some coverage! I've gone back to using one of my favourite drugstore products - Maybelline Fit Me Powder. I love the finish this gives to the skin and it keeps my make up in place for ages! To start the eyes I took Collection Work The Colour Eye Pencil in Vanilla Sky, it's the best base for everyday! I topped it with a wash of MAC Woodwinked before creating a subtle wing with my Laura Mercier Longwear Creme Eye Pencil in Espresso. I use this eyeliner technique when I go on nights out because it doesn't budge but saying that it's not too dramatic so I don't think it was too much for the daytime. I blended the wing out for a more messy look too, I definitely wasn't going for a pin-up precise liner for this look! Before adding my lipstick, I warmed up my complexion with Guerlain Terre Exotique Bronzer and NARS Douceur Blush. I think this is going to be my Autumn-Winter go to bronzer and blush combo!

Onto the finale! For my lips I first used MAC Redd Lip Liner and topped it with the cult favourite Rimmel Kate Moss 107 lipstick! This lasted a good 6 hours before I even had to think about retouching and although it is matte, it's quite comfortable too! Wahey!

What do you think of warm tones with red? I'm not so sure just yet that this works on my complexion!
