LOOK | The Sophisticate (Interview/ School/ Work appropriate)

1

I didn't get the job, sigh. Onwards and upwards though, have to stay positive.

Last week I had another job interview. It was quite late in the afternoon so I was ready well before I had to leave and decided to take a few snaps to share the sort of thing I wear to interviews. I like to keep my make up to neutral shades when I'm interviewing but I don't like to wear next to no make up because the way I look at it is that there's no point in changing my image drastically for an interview because if I got the job I would just seem like a different person when I turned up for work. You know what I mean? Anyway, I used some products I've been loving lately and I love the way the look turned out.

My skin is still playing healing from some breakouts on my chin so I used NARS Sheer Glow in Mont Blanc as my base with Collection Lasting Perfection concealer to hide my blemish and lighten my under eyes. I know a lot of people don't like using that concealer for under eyes but I've never had any problems so why not? As always I used my Givenchy Terre Exotique to add some colour to my face, and quite strangely for me I used a bright blush - Rimmel Santa Rose.

To add definition to my eyes I used the Charlotte Tilbury The Sophisticate Palette to create a subtle but effective contour and then created a winged liner using the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Khaki. I love this combination, it's really earthy toned so brings out my eyes and lifts the look, I think. I finished my eyes with one coat of YSL Babydoll mascara, it's nice and natural but still provides decent length and definition, don't you think? To bring the look together I used a combination of ELF Runway Pink, Topshop Saint and MAC Pleasure Seeker. Honestly it was just a scenic route to my go to nude lip aha.

I think the look works well for interviews, it would work easily as well for work, school or general daytime wear too! I love how this looks, hope you do to!
