THE 411 | Buffing Brushes.

The Real Techniques Buffing Brush changed the way I applied fondation from the first time I used it, before hand I had been using my fingers and if I was feeling particularly fancy I would have used the Real Techniques Stippling Brush. I have to admit, that brush is good, but I definitely prefer it for cream products now like blush or highlighter. I've amassed quite the collection of buffing brushes so I decided to choose a couple and let you know what I thought of them!

Buffing foundation in helps to make even the most troublesome base look flawless and it also works the foundation into your skin making it conceal pores better and look more like 'skin', who doesn't want that? Next to my beauty sponges a buffing brush is my favourite tool for getting a flawless base. Heres my opinion on these 5 brushes for you, hopefully it can help!

e.l.f Powder Brush (£3.95)
It took my a long time to get my hands on this brush, it's frequently sold out online because it's so popular and I actually waited around 'til the e.l.f store opened up in Cardiff to buy it. This brush is so raved about for buffing in foundation, and I have to say I didn't enjoy it for that really, I find it sucks up a lot of product and is one of the more time consuming buffing brushes I own. I do love it for applying powder when I'm setting my foundation, it helps to conceal pores without caking product on and that's just what I want!

Sigma Angled Top Kabuki F84 (£15.95)
Now, the more popular of this line is the Flat Top Kabuki but I had that and hated it so I gave it away. It was too dense and pulled at the skin alot which I don't want to do! I kept the angled one because it's so good for blending out concealer on the smaller parts of your face like the under eye. It's very dense so pulling isn't good with this brush, but you shouldn't really be doing that anyway, I use a patting motion with this and it leaves everything looking flawless. I also LOVE this for applying cream bronzer, it's built for the contour of your cheek I swear!

Sephora 55 Pro Airbrush (£21.74)
The newest addition to my brush collection and I love it! It's the least dense of all of these brushes and it's also the most effortless. It takes me about 5 minutes to fully blend in my foundation with this brush and it really does leave an airbrushed finish. It is a bit of a pain in the tits that you have to order it from the US but I really think it's worth it. This is by far my favourite!

Real Techniques Buffing Brush (Part of Core Collection £21.00)
I love this, it's amazing and I don't think I can say anything bad about it. It applies foundation quickly and flawlessly, washes amazingly well and is so soft! This was my favourite one for a long time, it's definitely one you need to try if you're looking into Buffing Brushes too!

Zoeva 104 Buffer (£12.95)
This is pretty similar to the e.l.f brush, just a little more weighted and densely packed. I do enjoy this for both liquid and powder foundations but I find of all of the brushes that I have mentioned this gives the most full cover, flawless base so I don't reach for it everyday. It does the job really well and I'm happy I have it but it does a specific job so I only use this for long days or nights out!

Hope you got something out of this post! Catch you in my next one :)
