Drugstores finest: My favourite products under £10.

My name is Sam and i'm a shopaholic.

Why is this relevant? Well, it explains my love for drugstore cosmetics. Don't get me wrong, I love highend also, but on a students budget, high end brands are harder to come by these days, especially considering I can't get hired!

Anyway, when I feel like splurging on cosmetics, which is often, i'll find myself heading for the lower priced brands, testing them out to see if I can cut out any high end alternatives and save a few pounds.

So, this blogpost is to show you guys my favourite beauty products under £10. All of these products get regular use from me, some of them have even been repurchased 5x over.

Lets get into it then.

For the beauty products I find I use everyday, I like to make sure they are relatively low in price, that way i'm not regularly forking out say £15 on a concealer.

I'll list all of the products in the title photograph at the end of the blog so that you have more information on them, they are all very good, but i'm only going to go into detail about my favourites!

Top of the list is the Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer, i know its raved about, and rightly so. It covers redness and blue tones perfectly and lasts all day. For under a fiver, that's a bargain!

As for outstanding eye products, it has to be the Collection 2000 Fast Stroke eyeliner and the Maybelline Eyestudio Gel Eyeliner, for more info on them read my "Which eyeliner is best for you?" post (http://caperepulchra.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/which-eyeliner-is-best-for-you.html)

Moving on..

Okay so, I love my drugstore lipsticks, i'd say 70% of my lip collection costs £8 or under, and that's pretty good. My everyday lip colours and the ones I find that I have in my bag constantly are the two i've swatched below.

From L to R: Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick No 03, Topshops Lips in Innocent.

I have two staple lip colours. The first being  a deep nude, one that goes with everything and doesn't look too overpowering on my skin tone. This Kate Moss 03 is perfect for that, I've used it down to the grain and am in need of a new tube, thats just testament to how versatile and pretty this is. It looks quite dark in the tube but don't be discouraged it's lovely.

And, secondly, i'll always have a blue toned barbie pink. I know most people wouldn't consider this a staple, but I think blue toned pinks really suit my fair skin and blue eyes, I don't know why, I just like the way they look. I have loads in my collection, but this one is just dark enough to work as an everyday colour, all the other ones i've found - such as MAC Viva Glam Gaga - are a little too pale for general wear, though I do love them nonetheless.

I wrote a blog on the mascara pictured above. So rather than go into why that is so amazing, i'll link you to the post I made http://caperepulchra.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/maybelline-one-by-one-volum-express.html

Other AMAZING products:

Any eye products by Sleek Makeup get 10/10 from me.
Oh. My. God. Their palettes are strikingly good and all for less than £7.

This primer palette is a particularly good find. It makes any eyeshadow pop and its quite unique for a drugstore brand to carry all of these primers in one palette. I love this and would recommend it 10x over.

Sleek Makeup Primer Palette

It's really hard to find any good brushes at the drugstore, I'll rave about Sigma and Real Techniques forever, they are amazing. Just a little too expensive to mention in this post though. I do however have one brush to show..

e.l.f's Studio Kabuki Brush

It's soft, dense and just the right size, I really like it and it was only £6.50, its a steal if you ask me.

Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed this post. Below is a list of all products mentioned!
