LOOK | Burgundy dreams.

You guys seemed to enjoy these face of the day kind of posts so ahh, here it goes. Kenan and Kel anyone? True 90's kid! I really wanted to use my new Illamasqua Resolute eye base so pretty much started from there and kept going, I really like how it turned out. I love the look of red shadow against blue or green eyes, definitely one for the vampy trend.

As a base, I used Benefit Porefessional, I love this primer, it's so soft on the skin! Oh, and my new L'Oreal True Match foundation in Rose Ivory, perfect colour for me, for once!

So, for the eyes, I used Illamasqua Liquid Metal in Resolute all over the lid, blending upwards. I then took Urban Decay Tease through the crease - I swear, it's the most versatile shadow I own! Over that I mixed a couple of matt and shimmer reds from the VIVO Enchanted palette over the lid, and under the lower lashline a little. I finished off with my usual Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Liner. I actually applied it with an angled brush for the first time, not such a fan if I'm honest!

Oh, and to blend out the edges a little more, I took Urban Decay Foxy as a highlight.

Please ignore my cut, wahh. Cuts on the cupid bow are evil!

On the cheeks I took Chanel Soliel Tan de Chanel lightly with an angled Kabuki and then NYX Taupe to deepen the contour. I left out blush, I think it would have been too much with the statement eye look. Same with lips, I just used a lip balm, nothing to shout about.

Hope you liked the look and the post!
